I came to LGH for a short time just for a bit of help. I needed some skills I didn't even know I was missing. Thanks to LGH, I have grown and, with my husband, I am taking care of my family and myself better than I ever thought I could.
I lived at Living Grace for about two months. I was referred by Kathleen to St. Jude's, where I was able to continue to get housing assistance. I lived in my own place for six months before moving in with my child's father and getting married. We are now living in our own home. Living on my own now is great. Thanks to Living Grace, I have the skills I need. They offered me therapy, which has helped me communicate with my partner and others. They helped me get into a GED program, and they made sure I had proper medical care for my daughter, Kaylinn, who was born a few months after I moved into my own apartment.
I got married while I was in the St. Jude’s program. I was scheduled to go into the police academy last July, but had a surprise shortly after… I was pregnant with twins! One of my twins passed away, but I am now on track to start the police academy next year!
